Why is Curb Appeal Important?

It is almost officially Summertime, which makes it the perfect time to jump on those front yard makeovers. When you are looking to sell your home, one of the most important aspects is your Curb Appeal. So what does that entail? Here's some examples:
Your Front Yard/Grass being mowed and edged
Your Flower Beds being clean, freshly mulched, with a nice array of flowers/shrubs
No weeds in the yard, flower beds, or driveway cracks
Nice accents around the front of the home, such as potted plants or welcome sign
Replace dim or burned out lights in outdoor light fixtures
Remove any cobwebs in corners
Keep gutters clear
Touch up the paint on the outdoor trim
So why is it important to maintain your Curb Appeal?
If you are trying to sell, Curb Appeal increases the value of your home and the property values of the homes around you. Attractive streets sell homes.
If you perform regular maintenance on your home, it will save you money in the long run and deter criminal activity.
